To the end of one adventure leads to another. Most of you have heard the announcement that I will be heading back out to the mission field abroad in January. This is a new season that I will be stepping into leadership, believing God wants to teach me some exciting new things this time around. For the past few years God has been teaching me a lot about servicing and what that truly looks like. After my inner healing in Nepal God revealed that He was ending that season of teaching me about servicing and opening up a new chapter. Once revealed I was shocked and somewhat unsure what this all met. He told me I would be heading into season of learning about leading. Which I think is super cool, because when I think of good qualities of a leader I think of a servant leader. But with that I was unsure Like leading my whole life, or leading others, being trusted to be in charge of something. I had no idea, it was pretty vague to me, but Jesus being all knowing knew exactly what He wanted to call me into.

Madagascar was a great month full of awesome ministry. We all got super close with our translators as well as some of the locals. That month we did a lot of home visits, prayed for people, taught English, and shared our testimonies about a hundred times to anyone and everyone. Though there was a lot more that happened that was unseen. When I was there God showed me many things that blew my mind. I experienced Him in ways I had only read about in the bible and didn’t know still happen today. One of the things God revealed to me was that I would be a team leader at some point.  At that time, I was a treasure and had my hands full. It only being month three and not feeling super strongly about it happening anytime soon I put it aside and forgot about it.

After my inner healing in Nepal which was month nine, I was asked a few days later at that debrief by my mentor to alumni team lead this up and coming January. With all that I took two weeks to fast and pray for some guidance and wisdom. As I prayed my team and I were stationed in the capital of Costa Rica. One of the nights we decided to do a team time where we did listening prayer for one another and gave encouraging words. That night I received a note from one of my teammates which had no clue I was even offered the opportunity at that point. Inside was written something along the lines of I’ll be stepping into some type of leadership position soon. After that I continued to pray and God had made it plain as day He was doing and He pursued me hard.

Which brings me full circle to being home again. A year ago, I was at home support raising and trying to prepare myself for this trip. Though this time around I feel way more confident about a lot of things like what to pack and knowing the travel will be fine. Though this time I have reverse culture shock mixed in with all of that. My time on the world race will only be 2 months instead of 11 months. Not including debriefs if I choose to attend them. My mission is leading my team of six girls and discipling them while also looking to raise someone up to be a good team leader when I leave.

The title of this blog, some of you might be wondering that this point what this “Giving Tuesday” thing even about? It’s always the Tuesday after U.S. Thanksgiving that symbolizes the day people donate to a charitable organization as a response from all the commercialization and consumerism of Black Friday and Cyber Monday craziness. I will add in that all donations made through this blog page as well as checks made out to “adventures in mission” are tax deductible and can work in your favor this tax season. That being a great logical reason to donate I would also just like to point out that. I have had an amazing year of servicing around the world to tribes and nations. Now I get to continue to service while also showing the ropes to my new team. The goal of me coming back is to help future racers be able to start their race where the rest of my squad and I finished it. We as the leadership team want to see our squad go farther and deeper than we did this past year. I have learned so much and gone deeper and further than I thought I ever I could go with the Lord and I not done yet.

In conclusion, I’m excited to see what God does with this next season and the things I will get to tell you all about. I’m excited for my new team/squad and their fresh energy and perspective they will be bringing with them onto the field. I’m excited to continue to follow after God’s heart where ever that may lead. Please prayerfully consider donating to support the coming of God’s Kingdom here on earth! Any amount is SUPER helpful and after a recent donate if 30 people give $75 dollars I will be fully funded. Thank you and God bless.
