I’ve been wanting to come to Uganda for 6 years… and now, I’m finally here!  I’ll be honest, it isn’t anything what I was expecting.  I was expecting what I saw in the Invisible Children videos and in Machine Gun Preacher.  Instead I found myself in the Ugandan winter.  Which means beautiful trees, green vegetation, and grass.  I don’t remember the last time that I’ve seen grass.  I’m not sure if it is because I’ve been in cities for the last 5 months, but I have a yard with grass!  It is a huge blessing to be able to lay in the grass and soak in the sun… unless it starts to rain of course.

Our ministry consists of many different things.  We go around to different schools and teach lessons, we have ‘assemblies’ for the kids where we can talk about Jesus.  We have gone to hospitals to pray for people, we have gone and done door-to-door evangelism, and we have even had the opportunity to preach on Sunday and teach Sunday School.  So there are many different things that we have done so far and we have only been here for a week.  I’m excited to see what these next two weeks will hold and then it is off to Tanzania… crazy to think that I’ve only got 2 1/2 months left on this adventure… my prayer is that I am able to make the most of every moment.

More on Uganda later!
