One thing that we were told that when we were at training camp was not to come on the race with any expectations.  When you say that you left all expectations behind you, you find out that you really hadn’t.  You are still holding onto expectations you didn’t know that you had.
One of my ‘unknown’ expectations was that I was going to see people healed, raised from the dead, and the blind were going to see.  I encountered so many people with sickness and ailments, and I prayed for them and never once did I see someone get healed.

There are others on our squad that have seen blind people receive sight, people who used to use walkers running around the room with their walker over their head, demons being cast out and I hadn’t been apart of any of them.  I’ve been asking the Lord to use me for healing and the Lord has remained silent… until now!

I’m currently in Uganda, my 9th month of 11.  I’m about 3/4 of the way done with my race and the Lord used me in a new way.  My team and I went to a hospital near our home and we were asked to go around to the rooms and pray for people.  Most of the people who were sick were children.  There was one little boy named Noah, he had Malaria and had an incredibly high fever.  I asked his mother if we could pray for him and she said yes.  I placed my hand on his head and it was on fire.  I looked back at my team and told them how hot he was and we began to pray.  As we were praying, Noah began to cry and beads of sweat came off his face, and he began to get cooler… significantly cooler.  I was amazed.  When we had finished praying, there was no more fever and Noah had stopped crying!  PRAISE GOD!  The fever broke!

GOD USED OUR TEAM!  WE WERE USED TO HELP BREAK THIS BABY’S FEVER!  I feel so blessed that the Lord chose to use me in that moment.  People might say, “that wasn’t that great, it was just a fever” but healing, is healing.  God working is God working.  Who are we to say that a healing was big or small?  God showed up, that is all I know.  I’ve been so hungry to see the Lord work in healing and He has!  I’m not sure how the Lord is going to use that to bless the mom or the family, but I know that I got to play a part and I’m so thankful.  THANK YOU JESUS!!!!
