Guatemala is AMAZING! It is very different than anywhere I have ever been. I’ve been to Mexico and I’ve seen the culture there, though there are similarities, there are a lot of differences. Guatemala is very COLORFUL and I love it! There is so much life here… also a lot of crazy drivers. I’m still not in the mindset that I DON’T have the right of way… May take a motorcycle or two before I really get it.

These past few days have been at a hostel in Antigua, preparing us for this next month and quite frankly for the entire race. We’ve been doing worship, prophesying over each other, and just learning more about what a World Racer does. However tomorrow Team ZOI and Spicy Mustard (Spicy ZOI) are going to be going to our first ministry! I can hardly contain myself, I think it is when I’m there I’ll really realize that I’m actually doing this for 11 months.

Today I got to do something that I never thought I would do. I added it to my bucket list just so I can cross it off and say I did it. I hiked a volcano and roasted marshmallows. I mean how may people can say they did that? Not too many that I know. Now this journey up the volcano was kind of what I imagine the world race to look like. When we started out on the volcano, it was cold and raining… not what we were expecting. It was uphill and very hard at first, but there were some flat areas where I realized how blessed I am to have flat ground. Then we got to the “top” where there was an amazing view and we got to roast marshmallows over hot steam. It was amazing. Then on the way down it was raining again and still really hard, but it was so much fun and we made it back. I think that God is going to be doing that a lot this next year.

I don’t have a lot of time, but I promise to put up volcano pictures sometime this week and maybe a few more. Thank you all for keeping me in your prayers and reading my blog. Pass it on to get the word out about the world race!
