The crew and I are in Carlsbad New Mexico on initial attack. That means we wait patiently at the BLM office and when a fire pops up in the southeast area of New Mexico, we respond. In the mean time we sit at the station and read, workout, clean our vehicles, and eat! I have been reading the bible, slowly working on getting through the psalms and learning how to pray! I don’t read much at one time and try to learn from each psalm. I enjoy them. I am also reading a book that clay Whitted gave to me. Clay has been instrumental in my life over the past 2 months. He has opened my eyes to different aspects of Christ. He’s a great Christian dude. He let me borrow a book called the complete bible answer book. Its a series of apologetics based on common questions Christians deal.
I pray:
I come to you today Jesus to ask for strength for my family and friends. Lead them through life’s trying times and lifes wonderful times. I pray that all of my friends and family will be lead to Jesus. Thank you for today. Please make us a part of your story. I hope to die to myself today. I want to die to myself today to better understand your will for my life. I want to make you big, and I want to make me small. Help me to lean not on my own understanding, but to lean on your love. Thank you Jesus!!! Amen!
