Over the past two weeks through my devotionals, listening to sermons, and a couple conversations vulnerability and prayer have repeatedly come to my attention. In this case when I say vulnerability I mean letting someone know about a problem you’re going through and letting them talk to you or pray about it. Making ourselves vulnerable is a big part of growing in our faith and just growth in general. Our Heavenly Father knows everything we are going through and will ever go through but when we keep the hard aspects of our lives a secret we are relying on our own strength which will fail every time. Ecclesiastes 4:12 says ” though one can be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not easily broken”. When we come together in our prayer and prayer requests many things can happen, for if we truly believe there is power in prayer we wouldn’t want to keep our struggles a secret. That being said not everyone in our lives needs to know every little detail, so find a friend or small group to confide in. I challenge you all that if there is something specifically for you that I can pray about let me know, I don’t need to know everything just let me know there is something I can pray about. At the same time I ask that while you continue to pray for me and my team as we prepare for the world race I ask that you pray about a distraction I have in my life right now. I hope you have an awesome rest of the day.
