California, sunny San Diego!! When I was a kid I lived in Mexico for
six years before coming to school here, so that means I went to school
in Mexico. I am MEXICAN and proud of it. I love the culture and the
people. If you have ever had Mexican food you know Mexican is the best!
Well, okay I lied a little because my favorite food is Greek. As far as
family it is me, my sister, and mom. My sister is one year older then
me( she thinks so is like 10 years older then me). One thing that I
love is photography and art. I love taking pictures of different things
and places because to me it is an art if you have the eye for it. My
favorite type of music is rock, but I love everything to tell you the
truth. Oh, I LOVE to read books, mainly books that teach you things. I
also Love to drink green tea all the time. Let see what else?? And of
course I’m a California girl which means I Love the beach. I can say
that I’m pretty much a beach bum. The beach is just so peaceful and
beautiful. That is why I love it.
father to drugs. It was sad, but I did not really know what it meant to
lose someone. I did not know what death was. It was hard to understand
what it really meant. Until I was older and realized I needed a father
and wanted one. That is when it hit me. But, I was able to move on and
understand why my dad had to die, otherwise he would of got worse. That
was the answers a pastor gave my sister when she was praying to God
asking Him why did he take him (she was not praying out loud).I also
grew up in a Pentecostal Church when I was younger. I was not able to
listen to music, watch movies, celebrate any holidays, I had to wear
long skirts, and cover my head. I really did not like it because I
really did not get to do much. So, when I was 13 I decided not to be a
follower anymore and decided to follow the world.
personal relationship with God. But, before I became a Christian I was
doing things of the world that were not good for me like I said before
I decided to follow the world. Until I was so broken is when I came to
Christ and decided to dedicate my life again to God. I say “again”
because when I was 11 years old I decided to receive God in my life and
I got baptized. When I decided to come back to Christ, God had big
plans for me. He has been working in my life in so many ways during
these 4 years.
ministry for a church and it is still going strong for 3 years. They
are still reaching out to orphans in Mexico. I served there for 2 years
and just got it started. Then God called me to start a young adult
ministry at another church. It has been such a blessing in my life to
see most of the adults grow or come back to Christ. I have also grown
so much through this ministry. Also, this ministry will be left to new
leadership before I leave. However, God has used me in big ways during
the years since I became a christian. Right now I’m so excited to see
how God is going to use me on the world race.
to do is His will and live it out everyday of my life. During this
summer of 2008 I got the chance to go on 2 missions trips. The first
was Guatemala and the other Coahuila, Mexico. Guatemala was the trip
that made me realize that I had the gifts to work in missions. In
Guatemala I got to each English at a local Christian school. It was so
much FUN! The people there were also AMAZING! I love the culture and
just everything about it. Mainly serving God is what made it all worth
it. It was the best time of my life. I built so many friendships with
people that I still keep in contact with. In Guatemala I was there for
3 weeks and God worked in my heart so much while there. It changed my
life forever that I will never be the same. After I came back from
Guatemala I got and opportunity to go to Central Mexico. So five days
after coming back from a missions trip I was being sent back. The trip
was amazing and I learned that not every place is the same, but they
all have different needs and they should not be compared.
me to serve. I know he has called me to missions, but the question now
is WHERE? That is a big reason why I am going on the Race, but also to
serve others and be the will of God. But, this is also what I desire
and LOVE to do. God is GOOD!
