On Monday I left little pieces of my heart in Georgia! I am beyond thankful for my 2 leaders and my 14 teammates. I am beyond thankful for God placing all of them in my life! I am thankful for all of the memories, conversations, and adventures! On Monday (4/29) I was experiencing so many emotions while flying from Georgia to Detroit MI! My thoughts on Monday: I am excited to see my family! I am nervous and not ready to be back in the real world! I am sad that I had to say goodbyes / see you soon! I am excited to see what God has planned for me and for my future!
Last week was a hard week for my team. One of our teammates left early to go home on a short notice, we did not get much time to say goodbye! It was emotional and hard for my whole team! My biggest take a way: I am thankful for having the opportunity to say goodbye in person. Goodbyes are hard and awkward for me! I never got to say goodbye to my father when he walked out. It still hurts time to time! Even though I did not get to say goodbye in person, I am thankful for all of the positive and good conversations that I did get with him! Even though goodbyes can be extremely hard I am still thankful for them.
On Saturday, I said goodbye to Jaco, Costa Rica! A little piece of heart is in Jaco, Costa Rica! Every single time I saw the ocean my heart got extremely happy! I love swimming and being by the water! I loved going to the ocean! The ocean was one of my favorite happy places!
Saying goodbye to Hannah Fletcher was hard. Thursday night I had a one on one with Hannah! It was really good! My biggest take away: I want to start having quality one on one’s with my Heavenly Father! I want to get to know my Heavenly Father more! I want to start having Father and daughter dates with my Heavenly Father! I miss my dad so much. I wish he was here, so I could tell him all about my trip and how much I have grown and where I am in life. It hurts so much that I can not. I am thankful for my Heavenly Father.
A piece of my heart is still in Ompete, Nicaragua and in San José Costa Rica! I am thankful for God leading me on my 3 month mission trip! God answered my prayer! On January 22nd I asked God to stretch me and keep using me for His Glory! I have grown in so many ways! I never imagined sharing my testimony in a Spanish church or at a great awakening! I am beyond thankful for God always being in control and leading me where I need to go! I am thankful for Him making sure I talk to who I need to talk to!
May you please continue to pray for me as I continue transitioning back home. May you also continue to pray has I prepare and get ready for my 3 month Graphic Design internship June through August in Minnesota.
Thank you for your prayers,
Dalice Hudson
