I am thankful for God continuing to use me! On Saturday (3/30) my teammate Chloe and I lead a health track session during our team time. We shared some of our own personal experiences expressing how important it is to keep leaning on God and going to Him. I am thankful for God creating me for who I am. It definitely have taken years to get to this point. I have learned to accept me for who I am. I am thankful for my eyes! I am thankful for God giving me two working eyes. Even though they do not work together I am thankful for both of them being able to work. I feel like my whole life I have had to prove to others and to myself that I can do whatever I put my mind to. I am thankful for all of the jobs that I have had over the years. I am thankful for them giving me a chance and not judging me because of my physical appearance. I am thankful for my time at VG’s working in the Deli. There is one customer in particular that I will never forget. His name is Alan Karr. I am thankful for him asking about my eyes and asking if he could pray for my eyes. I said yes. He shared a story how he met someone who had the same thing that I had. He prayed for her and over time her eyes were healed. The second time Alan Karr came in and asked if he could pray for my eyes. I said yes. Afterwards I shared how thankful I am for God creating me the way He did. Even though I have had my own struggles with people making fun of me and letting me know that I have one big eye and little eye. Or having google eyes I am thankful for God giving me two working eyes! I see the world in a new perspective and ways! I am thankful for God giving me the desire to love art and to keep pursuing graphic design! I want to continue to use my creativity and my perspective to show others God’s love and joy through me designs!
I am thankful for God placing Alan Karr in my life. While fundraising for my mission trip God gave me the courage to reach out to him. I took the time to write a personal letter about where I am in life and letting him know about my mission trip. It has been almost 3 years since I worked at the store. While being in San Jose, my mom let me know that Alan Karr’s wife wrote a letter to me, to inform me Alan recently passed away to be with the Lord. She found my letter and felt that he would have wanted to help with my fundraising journey. It touched my heart. I am so thankful for Alan Karr having the opportunity to read my letter and to see how much of an impact he did have in my life when he prayed for my eyes! God’s timing is perfect!
Thank you for your prayers,
Dalice Hudson
