So on Thursday we finally got to do some outreach while being in South Africa, and man it was so good!
We went to a not so nice part of town which they call a Township. It really took me back to the Haiti feel of being in a village everyday and it was really nice because I really enjoyed Haiti! But I was with a small group of four and we were just letting the Holy Spirit lead us on which way we turned or what house to try to get the people’s attention inside.
So we went into a few houses and had really good conversation, we all took turns sharing on different things at each house, and the first house I spoke at was to a mid aged couple but I talked on trusting the lord like the disciples trusted Jesus in Mark 6. At the end of me speaking they told us that their biggest prayer right now was that their son would come back to Jesus. They told us he is a really bad alcoholic and he isn’t doing well, it’s hard for him to keep a job and he has a lot of struggles. They said he was raised in church so he knows he is not doing right but they are completely trusting God that he will come back and be a kingdom bringer!! So that was awesome!!! We left that house and kept walking!
We prayed over a lot of people that were just walking in the street and then we prayed over these two sisters and then after we got done there was a lady limping and screaming across her yard to get our attention to come to her house and pray for her so of course we did!! So we entered her tiny tiny house and she told us that she has had a problem with her right knee for a really long time, it hurts her to walk, stand, or to do anything. And she said she wanted to be healed and asked us to pray over her. So my group of 4 all lay hands on her knee and starting speaking and proclaiming that she be healed and that the pain must leave in Jesus name. We prayed for a while and then after I will never forget what she said to us… she said while we were praying she felt an cold sensation in her leg and could feel Gods presence in the room… she said my knee feels better and so we started rejoicing and hugging her and thanking God for his healing power.
This is the craziest part… we walked out of her house said our goodbyes and started walking amazed at what God had just done… then she starts screaming for us and we look back at her yard and this lady is running and dancing!!! Before she could barely limp across the yard to get our attention! It literally blew my mind but guess what y’all God is still in the healing business!!!!
And also he still provides!! I’m happy to say that I’m fully funded and can’t thank everyone enough!!
