I’m still behind in posting things from Haiti, but here is another cool thing god let me experience in my time in Haiti!
This blog is about one of the most amazing things I have ever been apart of!
So everyday while being In Haiti we have been doing S.V.T (Strategic Village Time) almost everyday and I love it so much, because I am seeing God work in so many ways in the Villages we are going to!
One village that has been my favorite is called Titayen, and that’s because that’s where god has really been moving for me and my team the most these past couple of days. The first amazing thing that happened to me this week was when me and my team stepped off of the bus we were greeted by this man and he wanted us to come to his orphanage to pray over the kids and just play and love on them and so we of course said yes and so happy for the opportunity god opened for us. When we arrived at this orphanage at the top of the hill the kids were inside and the man went to get them, when they came out they all went and sat down, and then they sang for us! There was a little boy there that had HIV and he was full of so much joy and just his happiness made everyone else in the room so happy! Then the guy wanted to show us where they sleep so he took us inside, and it turns they have two rooms and they all sleep on the concrete ground, and that was really hard for me that about 17 orphans sleep on the concrete ground, they are abandoned by their parents and now they have to sleep on concrete. It hit me very hard and made me realize how blessed/spoiled I really am!
But thats not just something I could see and not think about the rest of the day, so we came back to the compound for lunch and I went up to my hammock after lunch and just prayed that god will bless that orphanage and at least provide mattresses for them to sleep on. Then I talked to some of the main people her at Mission of hope to see if there is anyway we could help them with food, or at least get them something to sleep on at night, and they are in the process of possibly helping them so if everyone could just be praying for that!!
Thanks for all the support in everything, I’m about to run another “Adopt a Box Fundraiser soon to try to knock out my last $4,600 so be on the lookout for that! Thanks!
