I need to take a few moments to brag on my team. For the last three months I’ve had the absolute honor to walk and serve alongside four amazing women. Jehovah’s Pride is the name of our team and I see daily how much joy and pride they give our God. Four women, all from different parts of the world, who love Jesus and want to learn how to serve Him better. I’ve learned so much from them in a very short time and I catch myself daily thanking God for allowing me to be on their team. Each one of them brings something so unique and special to the group I couldn’t imagine not having one of them. My words wont give them the justice they deserve but I’ll give a little snippet of the individuals who make up JP.
Mhairi
This is Mhairi, my Scottish twin. Mhairi is one of the funniest people I have ever met. She is able to take a joke, and a punch, all with a smile and a witty comeback. She’s extremely laid back and always willing to go with the flow. Yet when it comes to her passions she doesn’t back down and fights for what she believes God is calling her to. I got to witness her passion for women in the sex industry and her desire to see these women be free and feel the love of Jesus. She boldly went out to the street to pray over and meet women who feel sex is all they have to offer. Mhairi has deep wisdom and grows daily in her depth.
Melo
Sweet Melo is next. She hails from France and brings so much encouragement and peace to our group. From day one she helps keep our focus on God and always reminds us to pray and ask what He wants us to be doing. She is a gentle spirit but surprises me daily with her playful attitude and sassy comebacks. In every conversation it’s clear she loves Jesus and wants nothing more in life than to know Him better. Her passions in life involve encouraging women to see their worth and how much God loves them. She also desires to be the best servant for the Kingdom that she can possibly be.
Shavon
Shavon Rose. Shavon is creative and full of joy. Shavon is consistently looking for the next adventure and game to play. I can always count on her to try something new and maybe a little out there, some may call them dirty idiot moments…nevertheless she helps our team create unforgettable memories and challenges us to make the most of this once in a life time opportunity.
Casey
Last, most most certainly not least is Casey. Casey brings unconditional love to our group. She demonstrates it daily and without fail. Her goal in life is to love everyone, even those who don’t love, or even like, her back. She literally always has a smile on her face and a kind word to offer anyone. She is able to see the positive in all situations and is an expert googler (that’s not a word but Casey would support my choice to use it).
Jehovah’s Pride
I am so thankful for these four. They make life fun. They make community enjoyable. They make being away from home easy. I’m excited for the works their going to do and the impact they’re going to make for the Kingdom.
