I haven’t blogged in awhile so I thought I’d toss up a quick update.

I live in Georgia.

Yes, you read that right.  I officially live in Georgia now.  It’s crazy to think this is home for the next 6+ months.  I haven’t the faintest clue what the Lord will do in me and through me while I’m down here, but I know it’ll be good.
I had the privilege of spending a few days at training camp this weekend and it was great.  I absolutely love seeing this generation come alive, and being with people I love definitely does not suck.  It still amazes me the way you can be stressed or frustrated yet when you quiet your heart and enter into that place of worship, it’s as if all is gone.  Sure, when you’re done and you go to bed for the night, your feet may hurt and the stress may be back, but in that moment it’s as if everything is perfect.  I love that.  And those are the moments I’ve fighting for this season.
I’m still in need of people willing to partner with me as I make this transition and begin this new chapter in my life.  As I sat at Training Camp this weekend, the Lord really spoke to me of the importance of “behind the scenes” work.  There are approximately 200 Racers in White, GA right now preparing for their departure in January 2011.  That’s 200 applications that had to be processed, 200 interviews that had to be done, not to mention the countless other steps necessary in order to even get them to this point.  And it doesn’t stop there.  There’s still plane tickets to be purchased, support to be raised, parents to reassure, and hundreds of other things that need to be done in order to physically get them out on the field.  While they give their heart and soul out on the field, the staff gives their heart and soul in the office.
Monday, I’ll officially join the staff here as an apprentice in the Admissions department.  I consider it a privilege to be able to work alongside such a hardworking and dedicated group of individuals and look forward to joining them in their endeavors.  I ask that you would simply pray for me and all the other apprentices as we pepare for this next step.  If you have any questions in how you can be further praying for us or are interested in partnering alongside us, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
I want to thank you for all of your prayers and support that have brought me here.  Please continue to keep those as Training Camp in your prayers, as well as a few squadmates of mine who have been sick recently.  Thanks again and I look forward to sharing with you how the Lord moves in my life through this next season!
