Last week I got this series started by
sharing about my first SLR and love for photography.  If you haven’t already read it, you should.

Moving forward…

There’s a group of people in this AIM
community who have challenged me more than just about anybody else.  It’s not the words they say or the
things they do; it’s simply the life they live.  I’m ashamed to say I haven’t gotten to know them as well as
I would have liked, but I have been challenged by each one of them
nonetheless.

They are the Kenya Initiative team.

These six individuals are constantly
challenging me to dream bigger.  As
I watch them prepare to return to Kenya, it’s not difficult to see the time,
energy, and faith that is necessary to bring this dream to fruition.  They are among the hardest working and
most faith filled individuals I’ve ever met and honestly, I don’t think they
even realize it.  It’s just who
they are.

One thing I’ve taken away from my time
alongside them in this community is the idea, “What am I waiting for?”  When I visited Ohio about a month and a
half ago, Brian & Stacy challenged me in this as well.  They called out the passion inside of
me and simply asked why I wasn’t pursuing it.  The moment I stepped off that plane in Ohio, I knew inside
that I wasn’t supposed to stay in Georgia.  I knew there was something more and it was going to require
me leaving the comfort I’ve found here in Gainesville.

It’s been a tough decision filled with all sorts
of ups and downs, but in the end, I’m excited about it.  I’m excited to see what the Lord is
going to do both in and through me in this next season.  With that being said, it’s official-as
of April 29th, I will no longer be living in Gainesville, GA
.

So, what now?  You’ll just have to wait to find out… 🙂

As you do wait, I strongly encourage you to
check out the Kenya Initiative’s blog and specifically take a look at the many
5Ks to come.  This group really is
incredible and it’s been a true blessing to be around them!
