Lying back in my chair, looking up at the stars, I couldn’t help but notice the formation looking down at me. The one I know oh so well, stares down at me as sweet worship and praise rings through the air. And then it hits me, “You may be a great warrior and all Orion. You may even have a constellation named after you, but you’re stuck in the sky. I’m down here with all my brothers and sisters and we too are warriors. Only we’re warriors for God. Yep, that’s right. You can keep your constellation, because I’ll take healing the sick and raising the dead over a constellation stuck in the sky any day.”
I am a part of a body of believers who are living, breathing warriors for God. We are going to do whatever it takes to bring Kingdom here on Earth. Yes, there are times we get sidetracked or our flames fade. Yes, there are times we get caught up on ourselves and sometimes long for recognition, like a constellation in the sky. But at the end of the day, we are warriors for God and God alone and we return to Him. We battle for Him. We bring Him glory. We are committed to living out His will. We are committed to making this happen. So yes, we are warriors. We are mighty warriors. And we will battle until the sick get healed, until the lame start walking, until the mute begin to speak. We will battle until the day we see a dead man rise and then we will battle all the more. We want more than constellations; we want Kingdom!
So again I say, “Orion, you can keep your constellation, because I’ll take healing the sick and raising the dead over a constellation stuck in the sky any day.”
