The past 2 weeks I’ve begun to lay some
groundwork for the answer to the inevitable, “what’s next?” question.  If you haven’t read the first parts,
ready and set, you should.

A few weeks ago I woke up thinking about
Invisible Children, an organization that uses film, creativity, and social
action to end the use of child soldiers in Joseph Kony’s rebel war.  It wasn’t so much what they are doing
or even why they are doing it that woke me up–it was the how…how they got
started anyway.  It started with
some young guys and a passion, a passion to tell a story they didn’t even know
existed.

It’s no coincidence that the same day I woke
up thinking about Invisible Children was the day I’d be offered an opportunity
to pursue my passion.

My dream is to tell stories.  There’s a whole world of people out
there just waiting for someone to listen, for someone to validate them and hear
what they have to say.  I want to
be that someone.

This summer, I’m going back to Vietnam.  For 100 days, I get the opportunity to
truly live out my dream as a videographer/photographer for Vietnam Orphans Hope
Foundation
(VOHF).   I’m
excited to be traveling with a group that believes in me and, in turn, being
stretched to believe more in myself.
I know this is going to be a season of learning and growing, and I’m
excited to see where the Lord takes me.

Thank you to all those who have supported me
throughout my time here at AIM.
It’s been an absolutely incredible season down here in Georgia and I definitely
feel blessed to have a home within this family.

If you’d like to receive more information
about VOHF, the 100 day trip, or how you can help, please visit the website.  I look forward to sharing this journey with all of you!

As a side note, there is a very good chance I’ll get to visit the little girl who stole my heart (pictured above) sometime during my stay– how can I not be excited about this?!
