Ok, before you publicly laugh at me for that lame title, let me just do it myself.  HAHAHA.  Wow, that was just bad.  I’m sorry you had to witness that.  But anywho, onto the real business.

The other day, I reached into the pocket of the jeans I just put on and found a quarter.  It wasn’t shiny or new but hey, a quarter’s a quarter!  I got excited and then realized, thanks to inflation, a quarter can’t even buy me a gumball anymore!  What was once a treasure now seemed fairly useless.  I tossed it into my cup holder when I got in the car and figured it could at least help me get a cup of coffee at some point.

I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s had one of these experiences.  Surely I can’t be the only one with a cup holder full of change.  Or maybe you have a couch full of change.  That’s happened to me before.  Pockets aren’t always designed the best for keeping it in.  It’s ok to admit it.

Well, seeing as that change isn’t going to be able to buy you much these days, I’d like to present an alternative to you.  Rather than simply letting it gather dust in your couch or get sticky at the bottom of that cup holder, why not donate it?  It’s simple really.  Just gather your change, bring it in to any Bank of America and tell them you want to donate it to Daina Norusis.  Just make sure you mention it’s an Illinois account when you do it and you’ll be good to go!

So, next time you see a penny on the ground or find a quarter in your pocket, bring it on in to the good ol B of A (that’s Bank of America folks).

If you’re looking for ideas as to where you may find some of this change, try setting up a jar or two at home, at the office, and in your car and just put all the loose change you accumulate in there throughout the day or as you find it.  You’ll be surprised by how fast the coins turn to dollars and how far those dollars can take me!
