Every night we go into the bars of Bangla Road, living in faith that what we have can make a difference in the lives of these women–hope.  We see their empty faces, longing for so much more than what this life can offer.  Most we talk to hate this life; they want out of the bars but simply need the money.  They’re stuck in a cycle of hoplessness in a world feeding them nothing but lies.  It’s not easy to see night after night, but it’s worth going out there to help break the cycle.  If we talk to 100 women while we’re here and only 1 woman chooses to walk out of the bar, that would be more than worth it.  That is why we’re here.

Anyway, it typical Ashley fashion, Higgs created an amazing video that captures some of the despair and hopelessness we see on a night to night basis down here at the bars.  It contains some graphic images but it’s well-worth the watch to see the lives that they live.
