Okay…so I have to admit I was super sad when leadership told us that they would be making team changes.  Team Karis had finally gotten to a point where we actually loved and preferred each other.  We were getting used to how each one worked and knew each others’ giftings.  But of course…we all asked for gold.  We asked for Dad to refine us in the fire, we asked to be uncomfortable, we asked to be stretched and we asked to be challenged.  So when I found out that teams were officially being changed I cried, and cried and cried.  At first I thought I was just grieving but I would be over it pretty quickly and just move on.  But I kept crying!  Seriously, the tears wouldn’t stop…just ask my teammates.  So I took it to the Lord, and I realized that I truly love the people that make up Karis.  I love my brothers and sisters with the love of the Father.  It’s with a love that I couldn’t possibly come up with on my own.  The hardest part about the team change was that I wanted to be there to see them walk in the fullness of God.  I wanted to be there when Tangi laid hands on someone and they got healed right before her eyes, I wanted to be there when Lindsay experienced the manifest glory of God and I wanted to be there to watch Brandon fully walk in the anointing (which is huge) that God has placed over his life.

So it’s been a couple of weeks now and the tears have stopped flowing.  I pray for them every day and I know that in order for God to do the things He wants to do in and through each of us, we had to be pruned.  The pruning hurts, but its worth it.  Debriefs will just be that much sweeter when I get to see my whole family again.  Okay, so here are the facts:  Lindsay, Tangi and Brandon are on team Lunchbox (delivering the bread of life and living water).  Please keep them in your prayers, we are not splitting up the family…just expanding it!

Here is my new team:
Team Crux (latin for the cross and also a rock climbing term meaning “the most crucial point”, kind of like this moment for us in the race…we can check out or choose in and press through to get to where God wants us)
Braedon Tabor-previous member of Karis and my new fearless leader, so glad that I have one of my brothers whom I completely trust as my new leader.  I’m excited to minister and grow with him for the rest of this journey.
Katie Duff-previous member of Karis and truly a sister to me.  Her childlike faith teaches me new things every single day.  I’m excited to see the world through her eyes because she sees with the Father’s eyes.
John Linkous-previous member of team Judah…super nice guy.   I’m excited to get to know him more and see God use him in some crazy ways!  He doesn’t even know whats coming! (team Karis pimped his car at training camp)
Audrey Powell-previous member of team Hephzibah, wow so excited about her!  I can tell she is just so full of love and compassion and at the same time isn’t afraid to be herself.  Super sweet and I’ve been told she is the coolest person on the squad! (i agree)
Bekah Phelps-previous member of team Judah and a strong intercessor!  She was my bunkmate at training camp…who knew we’d be teammates at this point in the race.  She’s ready to raise the dead and heal the sick…and so am I!  We’re gonna have fun.
Steph Conners-previous member of team Judah and health fanatic!  She doesn’t like the crust of bread so she only eats the inside…so starting today I will eat her crusts!  Its perfect…she assures me its not because the crust is bad for me, she just doesn’t like it.  ANYWAY, I love her passion and I can’t wait to see how God uses all her energy!
Me-well, you know me.  🙂

That’s it…more members of the family…please pray for team Crux…for our unity in the spirit, to walk exposed and to truly become family.  This week has been a week of adjusting and getting into the groove of how things work in Mwanza, Tanzania.  We’ve been living the Tanzanian lifestyle and I even got my hair did!  Pictures to come soon!  (don’t be scared mom…they’re not dreads…yet!)  I preached at church yesterday…I went 43 min…including a minor interruption of the electricity shutting off but it came back on within a minute.  Today we will be visiting a hospital and praying for the sick!  PTL for history being changed!  Love you all!

Oh yeah and if you would be so kind as to put some dolla dolla bills in my support account that would make AIM super happy…and me too!  Thanks a honey bunches of oats!
