Welcome to my very 1st BLOG!
This blog is going to be dedicated to explaining the ins and outs of what the world race is, why I’m doing it, and where in the world I will be going.
So, lets get started….
First off, the World Race is an 11 month mission trip to 11 different countries. Woah! The overall mission of the trip is to bring the name and love of Christ to people all over the world. How will we do this you ask? Well, we will do this simply by providing a helping hand and loving hearts wherever there is a need. We will be living in each country for one month and staying with a ministry host. It is then that we will partner with local ministries to figure out what exactly the need is in that area. Some of the work that past teams have done is painting, cleaning, teaching English in local schools, praying and spending time with the community, working with women and children who are forced into the sex trade, planting churches, working in local medical clinics to make sure the poor and the sick are taken care of, and working to help with the refugee crisis.
While each country will look different as far as the work we will be doing, our hearts and reasoning will remain the same. We not only want to spread Gods love with words, but we want to back it up with our actions.
In James 2:14-17 it says “What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is it? So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.”
Jesus loves no matter what the condition and lends a hand no matter what the task, and that is exactly what we will be doing. I am extremely excited for these countries that God is calling my team and I to. During the 11 months we will be gone we will be visiting:

Malaysia
Nepal
Thailand
Cambodia
Ethiopia
Rwanda
Uganda
Missions work has always had a special place in my heart and calling over my life. For the past two summers I have worked with Beauty For Ashes, which is a ministry dedicated to empowering women and finding healing through the sharing of our stories. Shortly after returning home from my last trip with Beauty For Ashes I was offered a position as a recovery coach working with women who have eating disorders. This work has been nothing short of a blessing. I love loving these women back to recovery and it has birthed a desire in me, yet again, to go out and continue loving people and sharing Christ all over the world. That is my heart behind this trip. My hope and prayer is that you would consider joining me on this journey, whether that means by donating a one time/monthly financial gift or with prayers and encouragement.
