Hello Everyone!

My name is Cydney Arrington, and I am happy to share this exciting journey with you! I am currently a sophomore in college majoring in biology, minoring in chemistry, and possibly math (still deciding). Therefore, I am more prone to math and sciences compared to reading and writing. Writing is one of the many steps I am taking to be a part of this mission trip so bear with me this could be rough. This semester has proven to be one trial after another. However, I pushed through it and ended up doing better than I thought possible. I am not one to give up but one to learn and grow throughout difficult times. God has been at work through me and has continually been giving me the strength that I so desperately desire. He has been teaching me that when I am weak, when I lack motivation, when I lack belief, that He is stronger and bigger than all of my weaknesses, insecurities, and doubts.

I enjoy being outside during my free time which includes anything from hammocking, walking, and swimming to finding waterfalls. I will always be a Florida girl which means I love the water. Boating, tubing, kneeboarding, and spending time at the beach when given the chance are a few things I absolutely love. Being on the water acts as an outlet for me and connects me to my roots. I also like to draw and create, but I mainly only do that for gifts to friends and family. My family and friends are extremely important to me and are a large part of my life. I love creating new memories and spending time with them. They are so supportive and encouraging, and I am truly blessed.

This mission trip is an exciting opportunity for me, and I cannot wait to see where God leads me and how he uses me to impact lives. My comfort zone will be no more soon and has already been fading away in preparation for leaving. I am ready to find my safety in God rather than in what I know. I am ready to jump into the unknown with a “Yes, Lord!” in my heart. Thank you for your prayers, love, and support!

Psalm 139:24 See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
