Puerto Rico!!!
There were 3 teams (20 of us) living together this month and this is all 20 of us in a 20 passenger van with our 20 packs and 20 day packs! It was nice and cozy!
Things have been going very well as we’ve been partnering with local Christian Missionary Alliance churches to help them with church needs.
We’ve been doing lots of scraping and painting, and our team led church Sunday, which was a great experience! Evidently I play the guitar and sing harmony well, so my team made me a worship leader… But that’s actually been really fun, just not something I would’ve done on my own!
I also gave my testimony at church and that was cool experience to speak with a translator. The church has provided us with many meals this week and has been unbelievably generous and welcoming in every way imaginable!

In Puerto Rico they have one of the longest Christmases in the world, which goes from the day after thanksgiving until mid January, so we got to experience Christmas time in another country which has been neat; they have a very festive culture!
At 10:30pm tonight we head to the airport where we’ll spend the night and catch our flight to the Dominican Republic in the morning! Once there, we will have several days of debrief from our first month before heading to our ministry sight for the month. Our whole squad will be living together next month, so that will be awesome!
