Something magical happened Sunday. I turned 30. Yep. Anther year in the books. My team kept asking me what I wanted to do for my birthday. I told them three things…

1. I wanted to eat ice-cream

2. I didn’t want any american food

3. I didn’t want to have to make any of the decisions or plans

So what happened?

I ate ice-cream, lots of ice-cream. I had two birthday cakes. I didn’t eat american food. I didn’t have to make any of the plans. It was great!

My team told me what time I needed to be ready in the morning and what I needed to bring. They hired a driver and we went to the mountain side. Hai Van Pass was beautiful. We spent most of the afternoon relaxing, then our contacts took us to dinner, and afterwards we celebrated at a friends house. Worship on the rooftop, cake, and ice-cream. It was perfect. It was simple.

Rumor has it that your thirties are pretty great years…bring it on:)

P.S. Thank you to all the people who surprised me with birthday cards. They made my day!
