I know we are only ten days into ministry here, but they have been an awesome assortment of action packed days. Three days a week we hand out bibles to Chinese tourist. So far we have invested four days total into that ministry and we have given out close to 5,000 bibles. It is amazing to hand them out and see them sit down and start to read the word. We have worked with a team from Australia, a team from Canada, people from England, Pakistan, Israel, China, Thailand, and of course…AMERICANS!
We also spend three days a week at Agape Home which is a christian day care that focuses on prevention for sex trafficking for the kids living in the slums. I can’t express how much love these kids have. They range in age from five and under. Our first day there we walked in the door to bear hugs from these kids who have never seen us before. I learned six kids can fit into my lap at one time. Yes, I loved every minute of it!
Another ministry we participate in is Bar Ministry. Pattaya is the sex tourism capital of the WORLD. You can not walk down the street here without seeing it in your face. Prostitution is illegal here but you would never know it. We go into bars, buy a coke, and invest time into the women (or lady boys) working there and try and tell them about the lord.
We also get to spend time with Chinese college students. Sometimes we even get to learn Chinese words and phrases. It is neat getting to share the gospel with them and learn about their lives as well.
All in all, I am REALLLLLLLY loving ministry here! I would love to come back here one day and invest more into these people. Oh yeah, on Sunday nights we Skype a church in Pakistan and share the word! It is so amazing!
So thats ministry here in Thailand! Nothing short of amazing. But as always, keep us in your prayers:) We need ’em!
