So Today is a HUGE day in the preparation for the World Race! So far the excitiment has been "meeting" all the fellow racers over blogs and a few over facebook, fundraising, letting all our friends and family (or in my case- clients) know about this amazing opportunity that God has called us for. As we travel today to White, Georgia for 8 days of training i know the reality of this trip will start to set it. I absolutely cannot wait to meet all the wonderful people that are giving up 11 months of their lives with me to go a further our Kingdom!! Its funny to me that the moment i meet the few people that will be on my intimate squad and looking them in the face and thinking and knowing that WOW we are going to be family in a very short time and know every single detail about each other- the good, the bad, and the ugly! I know- we are all family- brothers and sister in Christ, but these people really are my future family- all i will have to talk to, cry to, laugh with, look our worst around, share our most intimate moments, be goofy, share stories, and just enjoy all that God has blessed us with! I know ill look back at this training camp moment and laugh and cherish the innocence of our first meeting! The hardest part? PACKING THIS BACKPACK!! haha how in the world am i supposed to fit all my stuff in one bag for a year?! But it has been done, and will be done again and again- so freeing to know everything that I will ever need is condensed to that small of a space- why again do i have all this other stuff surrounding me day to day? So friends and family please keep us all in your prayers as we meet each other and bond with each other. This will set the foundation of our 11 months together! (also pray that i can figure out how to set up this tent?!) haha
