So our last month in Africa.. and who can come to Africa and not go on a safari?! A few of my friends and I went to a park called Hlane National Park to see if we could scope down some of God's amazing creations. Of course.. what we wanted to see the most was the Lion! So we head off in search of the Big Cats!
We enter the first park- the lion park.. all of us on an exciting edge to see what we will find. Just a few minutes in we are rounding a park and we see a Lion! sleeping with it's head hidden in some long grass. We were so excited.. but i knew that wasn't the last we would see of him. We continue on and run into two huge elephants… and to watch them eat and use their trunks is hilarious. It made me laugh to watch the way God used his imagination to create these animals. As we are rounding our way back to the end of the lion park i had a serious conversation with the Big Man. I prayed that He would allow us to see another lion.. just the face so we could give Him the glory and praise Him for His amazing creation. I just knew He was going to say yes, i could feel it. As we turn the last corner.. what do you know.. A huge male lion walking up the path straight on towards us.. and guess what was behind him? Yes.. a female lion. Not just one lion, but two… not just a male lion, but a female as well.
All i could do was laugh and smile and feel like a princess. I know that God was romancing me. He does that and it makes me feel like a little girl- all giddy. Our God is so big.. He was like… i love you so much.. that i know you asked me to see one lion.. but im going to give you that and more.. i am so big that i can do whatever i want. This is my world and these are my creations and you are my beloved. My heart smiled and i praised God. I know He did it for His glory.. I am His bride and he was drawing me coser and showing me His love and His greatness.
