I come to you with an urgent request. As most of you know I just returned home from the world race.. an 11 month mission trip where i traveled all around the world. I got to work with the orphaned, the hungry, the oppressed and my heart has stayed engaged. Being home has been rough for me considering i am just now able to walk without a boot or crutches (yay Jesus!) I have been praying alot about what God's next step for me is. I have wanted to go back to school- but to study what? I could go back to hairdressing but i feel like i would be right back where i started. I was thinking some kind of seminary/bible school but i want something more radical and my heart is for the nations. So after praying and seeking God's direction i have actually been invited by a friend of mine, who is on staff, to attend the University of the Nations at Kona, Hawaii. www.uofnkona.edu.. YWAM (youth with a mission) which is the biggest missions organization in the world. I actually stayed at two YWAM centers this year and worked with tons more. The type of schooling i would be involved with is called DTS (descipleship training school) This is the core basic program you have to complete before enrolling into any of the other
DTS-The Discipleship Training School (YWAM-DTS) is more than YWAM’s entry-level course; it is a wild pursuit of God and His heart for the nations! As a student, you will be joined by individuals from around the globe and various walks of life. Together, you will be immersed into a community dedicated to effectively reaching the world with the Gospel.
This DTS has two parts- the lecture phase and the outreach phast.
The first 12 weeks is classroom time. With God as the focus, you will go deeper into the Bible. They bring speakers from around the world to insure that you receive a solid and well-rounded perspective of who Jesus is. Their main focus is to equip us with the tools necessary to study His Word yourself.
The last 12 weeks is outreach. Which is always the best part. We will travel to a foreign country (it hasn't been decided yet where this particular class will be going) but for three months we will be putting into practice what we have been taught and learned throughout the lecture phase.
This is where i need your help. I need all your prayers more than ever now. If this is going to happen it has to be solely because of God and now by my own work. I pray that each of you who have already helped and supported me SO MUCH will just go to our Father on my behalf. Pray and see how he would lead you to help. If its through someone else you know… through just intercession in prayer- HOWEVER the spirit is leading you. I have decided that if God has provided enough pledges/funds for my plane ticket it out there and half of the lecture phase funds then that is where He wants me. This is asking HUGE things.. but I have witnessed numerous times in the bible that where there are people in prayer… God shows up!

the amount i have to raise for the lecture phase (first 12 weeks) is $3,995 – covers food, education, tuition
the amount i will have to raise for the outreach is $5,000-$6,000
I am asking for Mountains to Move- but my God promises He can move mountains.. and He can do MIGHTIER things than that. If anyone wants to pledge or knows anyone who will be mighty prayer warriors for me please pass this along! I love being the hands and feet of Jesus! I want this to be a witness to the people around me and to my family that God will use others for His Kingdom. But if it doesn't happen then i have decided that that isn't where God wants me and there are greater things out there for me!
