Well it’s hard to believe that we are finally out of China.  I am now in the Ukraine.  Near the black Sea in a small city called Saki.  Here we have been working with a small church and we are living with a family in that church.  So far last week consisted of Bible School, and of course it is all in Russian.  That means none of the kids really speak the language.  But I am quickly coming to find that kids in every country are the same.  Although there is a language barrier we always find a way to communicate, funny how things like that work.  I can’t even describe to you the scenery here accept, if you have seen western Nebraska you have seen the Ukraine.  I think it is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen, but one of my teamates described it as a gloomy place, because there was a lack of greenness.  Another one said it was a wasteland with nothing but a few dead trees.  You must keep in mind that it is still winter here.  And still another one said that she had never seen so much open space that was so flat.  Although they all did say the sky was so beautiful.  I had to agree on this last point the sky here is magnificent, just like at home.
