Who Am I? That is the million dollar question. I have often thought that if I was ever asked that question it would be the easiest to answer. I am the daughter of Butch and Linda. I am the the sister of Lee, Bethany, and Becky. I am the sister-in-law of Jeremy, James, and soon to be Mayra. I am the aunt of Grant, Isaac, Jacob, Charity, Callie, Olivia, Madison, Natalie, and soon to be Jessie. I am the youngest child in my family.
I grew up in a strong Christian family in western Nebraska. My dad is a horsebreaker and my mom is co pastor at a mission church. When I was 9 we had an evangelist from Missouri come to our church and put on a childrens revival. The man said something that has always stuck with me. “Sin will take you farther than you wanna go, cost you more than you wanna pay, and keep you longer than you wanna stay.” I looked around at a lot of the people that my family was working with. Many of their lives were in shambles because of the way they chose to live. I decided then and there that I didn’t want to be like them, and the only way to not be was to be like someone else. Christ!!! I wanted to be like Christ. So I decided to put my trust in the Lord that day. It is a decision that I have never regretted.
There are many things that I don’t know
In footsteps of others i seem to follow
Treading their path both night and day
Letting my life go only their way
I want to do now for you O Lord
And not worry about the world
So I no longer their path will tread
Lord I will follow your ways instead
Keep me true and keep me humble
So that I may not stumble
As I go now upon this race
Lord help me to seek only your grace
