Jinka has been very interesting and overwhelming sometimes. As you can imagine, 6 white women walking down the road attracts a lot of attention and we usually draw a crowd.
We’ve gotten to do a few things so far. We’ve made some new friends which I am very thankful for. They have taken care of us and helped us with whatever we need. I put the pictures of them below. Pastor Yoshua and Shepherd have helped us get around here and do different things. They’ve also connected us with locals. They’ve been such a blessing and there’s also a wonderful lady from the church (Mama), also pictured below, who has made delicious meals and coffee for us a few times.

On Sunday, we went to a baptism that their church was having at the river and then we went to their church. Twelve people got baptized. It was so beautiful! At the church, we sang a song and then Edna preached. It was a full house and it was so nice to be there. I pray that God would bless their church.

One day, we got to go visit a tribe called the Maale tribe. We took a 2 hour drive up a mountain, through the mountain and then back down. It was so beautiful! I took so many pictures and videos because I loved it all so much and want to look back and remember that drive. We finally arrived to a village and our contact told us that we were the first white people there, which was cool. When we got out of the truck, we were surrounded by people just staring at us and talking. It was so cool yet overwhelming. We only stayed a short time because the crowd was getting bigger and we couldn’t move anywhere. Then we went to the next village which was our destination, Lemongento. The Pastor who was taking us there showed us around, bought us lunch and coffee, took us to see coffee trees, showed us their church building, took us to the school they have, showed us his home and we were able to play and sing with the kids that gathered around us. We always attract a crowd. It was a great day and we would’ve stayed longer but they said that it looks like it’s going to rain, so we have to go back. It was so nice being there and I hope future World Race teams get to go there.

It’s been a great week. Please continue praying for us as we are heading out to visit 2 tribes tomorrow. We will be gone for 4 days. Please continue to pray for our protection and health.
Thank you for keeping up with my journey. I love you all!
