What a full and busy 2 weeks it has been. We left Los Andes, Chile on Nov. 8th and went to debrief in Vina Del Mar. It was very beautiful there. We were right by the beach. Debrief was a time to meet with the rest of our squad and spend time talking about how our month was. It was supposed to be a time of rest but I didn’t really get to rest. There was always something we had to do. I think I had 2-3 hours of rest and quietness the whole 4 days we were there. We went to Valparaiso which was a short distance away and did a 2.5 walking tour, which was nice because we got to walk around a good portion of the city and see so many beautiful things. The city is so colorful and it was also by the beach. We had a good time there. Our prayer, when we arrived in Vina Del Mar, was that we would meet someone who spoke English to help us get to our hostel. As soon as we got off the bus, we met 2 ladies who were selling some food, and one of them spoke English. Our prayers were answered! What a blessing! The other cool thing is that she is from Mendoza, which is the city in Argentina that we are in this month.

After Debrief, we took a bus to Mendoza, Argentina. It took us about 8 hours total to get there including the stop at the border. The mountains we were driving through were absolutely beautiful and breath-taking. Everywhere you looked, it just got more and more beautiful! Some of the mountains were covered in snow. I loved it!

We have been in Argentina for 1 week now. It’s been very different than Chile. In Chile, we were staying at a hosts house and it was just our team. Here in Argentina, we are staying at a YWAM (Youth with a mission) base and it’s with our whole squad. Also we were close to a city and were able to walk in town whenever we needed anything. Here, the town is 40 minutes away on a bus.

Our ministry has been walking around the little town we are in and praying for people and the city. Then we went to a little preschool and helped with some crafts. This past weekend, we did evangelism at a park in Mendoza with a wonderful church. We invited kids to come and play and we painted their nails, then we did a skit about the Good Samaritan and one of the girls gave their testimony and spoke to the kids. Sunday we went to that same church, Iglesia Bautista Norte, and after worship we walked around the neighborhood and passed out flyers to invite people to the evening service. At the evening service, our team sang a song and I gave my testimony in front of everyone. I was a little nervous because I was speaking in Spanish. I translated my testimony into Spanish and read it. I really hope to be able to speak Spanish better. Please pray about that you guys.

Ok Guys. Listen to what I did. We did a ropes course here at the YWAM base. It was so scary. The first challenge was climbing a tree. I went almost halfway up which was a miracle. Hahaha. The second one was like a pendulum, you sit in this harness and then a string pulls you up and then you pull the release and you start swinging back and forth. It was crazy! I went up halfway on that one too. I almost didn’t do it but I’m glad I did. The last one was crazy! It was a ropes course about 25 feet in the air. It was absolutely terrifying but I was the second person who did it. I kept saying as I was climbing up the first pole, “I can do anything. I can do anything.” And guess what? I did it. I was so proud of myself. Fear has no place in my life! I CAN do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Overall, it’s been such a wonderful time on the World Race. I am so thankful to be here. Thank you everyone for your prayers. Please keep them coming because God is answering your prayers. I love you all!
