Here is a quick little story of a fortunate way God confirmed the race to me as I was preparing to leave. On my last day of teaching at Shield Of Faith Christian Academy, the school administrator and my Pastors took the school staff out for an appreciation luncheon. We shared fun stories and the joys of finishing the year. We shared our student’s accomplishments and our struggles that we were able to overcome with the Lord’s strength. God’s grace is sufficient for us! When we finished our meal, the small, delicate waitress handed each one of us a fortune cookie. I personally love fortune cookies. 🙂 When I opened mine it read, “You will step on the soil of many countries.” What?! You’ve got to be joking! I couldn’t believe it! Everyone began reading their fortune notes and laughing, I sat quietly. Finally, it was my turn. The table was astonished as I read my message. They gave me another fortune cookie just to see what the next one might say. I laughed as God once again confirmed it with the same message! Our God has a great sense of humor! He makes me laugh!
I believe God wants to speak to us, and because He is a limitless God, He speaks in many ways. It is our choice whether or not we desire to listen. I am not saying that all fortune cookie messages are words from God, but I believe that this one definitely was. Do you hear the voice of the Father? How does He speak to you?
God desires to speak to you. You must simply offer a listening ear. God bless you today as you grow more in Him!
