Our last week in Mozambique was spent with a beautiful missionary family who runs the Temane orphanage that we worked with.
They also take part in street evangelism through showing the Jesus and Passion videos.
On Thursday and Friday night we joined in Jaco and Maria’s ministry and sharing the message of Jesus Christ.
My faith was built big time as I realized that elaborate programs, great advertisment, and big systems were not needed to bring people in.
People are hungry, they’re crying out for another way.
Hope.
Life.
Love.
The harvest truly is ready, but the laborers are few!
Matthew 9:37
The second night we showed the Passion movie in the middle of a stream of bars.
Truck drivers stop to sleep for the night, buses drop off crowds of people, and hundreds of lost and broken hearted people roam the street searching.
The music was blasting, drunks were staggering along, people were dancing, and fires were lit.
We set up the screen and sound system and began to pray the people in.
No advertisement, no broadcasting.
Just Jesus.
Hundreds and hundreds stopped and surrounded the screen from all sides.
Peeking behind walls, hiding behind trees, and even sitting at the bars.
Their full attention was focused on the story of Jesus and the crowd was silent.
The enemy tried to attack by the spirit of distraction at times, but its great because we already have the victory!
We roamed the crowd and walked the streets praying and interceding during the movie.

As the altar call drew near, many people began walking away, but a small group stayed.
My first response was frustration that so many people were missing it, but then I realized that the small group that stayed were sincere and willing to take a stand for Jesus.
I really believe that those who walked away had a seed sown in their lives and a picture painted in their mind of a man they will never forget.
I was so encouraged to be a part of this work and thank God for the lost souls that came to know Him in a true and intimate way that night.
Praise God!
