You are just like a star. A single stars brightness doesn’t prevent the other stars from shining. Just like you, in life. Don’t dim your light so that others can shine. There is enough light for each of you, there is nothing empowering about becoming less so that others can become more.
Stars don’t worry about the stars beside them because they know that the sky wouldn’t be the same without them. Something would be different. There would be a light missing in the sky. And yes, while the sky would still be lit without that star there would still be something missing.
There’s not a single star exactly like another. Just like I created the stars with that intention, I created people in the same way. I am because you are. I love you, I will use you, and I will never leave you. I will never turn my back to you. You are mine, and I hear you when you call me. Believe that and be okay with it.
Regardless of your past, I love you. There’s not a day that has gone by where I didn’t love you any more or any less. I’m happy that you turned to me. I rejoiced when you found your way to me. We celebrated in heaven just as much as we did for all of the lost. I welcomed you home with open doors and that door will never be closed.
Choose me, choose joy, choose freedom.
