Greetings from Cusco, Peru yall!
Can I just start by telling y’all how much I love this city and the people that fill it. They’re so nice and it’s just beautiful, everywhere you look. It’s evident that God is within the creation of it.
My ministry this month looks like:
My team is split up in 3 groups..
2 of us here at The Meeting Place Café and we volunteer helping them by serving, waiting tables, making awesome coffee beverages and milkshakes, and cleaning up the place. 100% profits go to several organizations that they’re partnered with which is where the other two groups go.
Two go to Altivas Canaas and they work with underprivileged children in whatever creative ways they can come up with.
The other two go to Corason and they are working with an after school program for underprivileged children as well.
On Saturday’s, we go to an orphanage for children with special needs and we will help feed them and brush their teeth.
All of these require love. The love that God has for His people truly blow me away. I don’t know how He does it but He does and I stand in awe of the magnificent beauty of it. It’s so intimate and unending and I’m humbled and honored to bear witness to it and to be used to spread it.
We also have gotten the chance to grow in ministry being a daily walk. Not just a set time and place. I’ve personally grown in obedience to the Lord and trusting that when He tells me to move, He’s already there. For me, that looks like feeling tugged to go up and ask a person if I can pray for them, or offering a hug to a stranger, or holding a baby so that his aunt can work, and just pouring out love and being bold that that love is from the Lord and not from me alone. We’re all in this together.
****I am $1713 away from my financial goal that’s due by the end of this month so that I can continue my race with my sQuad to Africa. I’d love to partner with you in this and be allowed to be your hands and feet. When you partner with God, you get to claim the fruit that is harvested during this and God is working. Every and any amount is rejoiced over in the Kingdom and in me. No amount is too big or too small. The blessings that come from that are multiplied. It matters! Trust me, it matters****
