woah.
We just spent a week in San Pedro, Colombia (called San Pedro of the miracles) a place known for its witchcraft practices and just demonic presences ¡¿Come Que?!
Up until about a week ago I honestly didn’t really think that God had called me to live in that world. I mean it’s in the Bible, but I was never really raised or taught that part of the Bible. In almost all churches that I’ve been to we emphasized on healing the sick, loving the orphans and widows, helping less fortunate, and just loving our neighbors. Casting out demons just wasn’t really talked about in my case.
But it’s so in there and it’s a part of it just as much as anything else.
I’ll just give y’all some references:
•Matthew 10:7-8 “As you go, proclaim this message: ‘The Kingdom of heaven has come near.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.”
•Ephesians 6:10-12 “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
There it is & that’s just a few! It’s everywhere!! God bestowed that authority in each of us and calls us to walk in it! So we must do just that. Okay, don’t get me wrong. I’ve been scared and nervous and at first a bit skeptical. But if you all could see what we’ve seen you’d know that this stuff just isn’t made up. We’ve witnessed people set free from things they just couldn’t pretend to have.
Quick story: first night in San Pedro; we began the first half of the day fasting and just getting filled with the Lord and what he had for us. Then we had been walking around the town evangelizing, hanging out, ya know.. getting to know the city and we return to the church and there’s a family there so we’re thinking that they’re just joining us for dinner or something. Nope. We were asked to share words that God laid on our hearts for them and I felt some healing take place. Yay God! Ya know, I thought that was gonna be it. Lol.. Nope.
We circle around the family in prayer and in minutes one girl is puking.. one is literally shrieking in pain and I’m looking around like “oh crap. Here we go!” And I just dive in. I felt my role that night was just to pray protection over all of us and those that were experiencing the whole demon getting casted out of them thing.
So they’re being prayed over and the evilness within them confronted and the RELIEF and PEACE that filled them once they were free. Was beautiful. It was truly just beautiful. The shouts of “THANK YOUS” in English were felt to the core. It was just A God-Moment. All glory be to Him and what He has in store for us and them. It’s gonna be good y’all! One thing I’ll never get over though is the “WamBamThankYaMam” quickness after it’s over. Lol. We go from casting out demons to “Hey, thanks! Wanna eat some dinner now?” It is so surreal. Hahahah, it’s just like oh yeah! No biggie! On to the next one!
So that very smalley describes my past week and tonight we’re having another women’s ministry night so please keep us in your prayers over that!
Also, I’m down to $2200 away from my next financial goal due by February 28th and the support I’ve received thus far has been so very much appreciated and God still has so much more work to do that I’d love to be a part of and would love for you to be a part of as well! If you feel pulled to help in any kind of way it’d be so much appreciated and if you could just keep me and my team/squad covered in prayer that’s just as needed as well! Love y’all so much!!!
**if you have any prayer requests please comment below, my team and I would like to cover you in prayers as well**
Xoxo
