Many people have been asking me, what are you going to do now? What next? Since my Dad’s death many life changing events have occurred. If you have been keeping up with my blogs then you know I was blessed to be able to get married in my Dad’s hospital room the day before he died. I wouldn’t change it for anything, it truly was priceless and a special gift from God. Not only am I married, but I also have a stepson, Samuel, who is 8. So I am a new bride, a new mom, and we are in the middle of a custody battle for Samuel. Please PRAY that we get sole custody of Samuel.

Ministry wise, I will not be returning to the World Race. I feel like that is where God called me to be during the start. I along with many of you have been praying that God would make it clear where He wants me now. AIM supports establishing a godly foundation for a marriage and requires their missionaries to be married at least one year before serving. After talking with AIM, I am going to stay here and be with my husband and son. The financial support that I raised for the World Race will remain in my account and next summer, we will be able to go on a family mission trip with AIM.

I miss my team, the World Racers, and the ministry there, but know this is where God wants me.  I am needed in many ways; including helping support my mother and sister during this difficult time in our family, to be with my husband and son to establish a healthy godly foundation, and to be present during this custody battle. All of these ways have become evident over the last couple of months I have been home.

I have been blessed to be able to work with the 3rd and 4th grade boys at church on Wednesday nights in AWANA. We work on knowing Jesus and sharing Him with those we encounter and growing in Jesus by memorizing and learning what scripture means. I have also been blessed to see JJ, one of my best friends’ children and Samuel’s best friend, be excited about learning about Jesus. JJ has been unchurched but recently has been spending time at our house, and has learned to pray in Jesus’ name to not have bad dreams (and he doesn’t now), read the Bible before bedtime, and bless his food. JJ has come on a Sun morning and came this past Wed night with us. He is so excited he came home and told his parents they had to start coming to church on Sundays and Wednesdays now. Seeing the excitement and thirst JJ has confirms that I am right where God wants me and God is making a difference for His kingdom through me as I serve here. Please PRAY for JJ and his family as they are searching after God.
