I made it safely to Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic this morning. The jorney was very un eventful untill we reach Santo Domingo. The busride to where we are staying was anything but.
I spotted the bus from across the airport and instantly knew it was ours. It was an old schoolbus that had clearly seen better days. It looked more than sufficient though to carry the 50 or so of us that needed to go on it. However, once we loaded all of our bags we had only 7 rows left for all the people. People were sitting on the backs of seats and in the isles. The only thing more entertaining than the sight inside the bus was the faces of the Dominicans as we passed by.
Overall, it was great and now we have some downtime to have a picnic with our teams and use the internet cafe a few blocks away. Ill try to post pictures later, the internet is a bit slow today.
