God made this incredible creation and I’ll be darned if I don’t experience as much of it as I possibly can. I want to see it all. The mountains, the valleys, the trees, the rivers, the clouds, and everything over the clouds.

Last week I went paragliding. And it was phenomenal. As Sarah and I were watching our guides get the gear ready she goes “oh good. We have helmets!”  Without missing I beat I immediately replied with “the only thing that helmet is gonna do is make it to where somebody could identify the body”. 5 minutes later I literally walked off the side of a mountain strapped to a complete stranger with the full belief that the parachute and ropes were going to come through and catch me. Even though I knew the helmet was there to give me the illusion of being safer while doing absolutely nothing to actually ensure that safety.

So what is my point in all this?

Life is kinda like that. Especially life following Jesus. We just gotta run off the mountain because none of our silly human safety nets are going to accomplish anything. Not a darn thing.

He is worthy of our trust. So much more worthy of our trust than the guide in whose hands I put my life. He doesn’t need any safety nets or guard rails or helmets. Cause He’s the King of the World. He asks for our trust because His perspective is so much bigger than ours.

Sometimes He asks us to endure painful or difficult things. Not for kicks and giggles. But because He knows those things are necessary and will ultimately bring Him glory.

So I’m going to jump off every mountain knowing He will catch me 100% of the time. And even if I get motion sick and have to take a puke break He will still be there. He isn’t afraid of our mess or imperfections. He just wants our trust and willingness to act.

If I can trust this guy with my temporary physical body I can SURE trust my eternal spiritual body with the creator of the universe.
