Friday January 12, 2018 I was dropped off at the airport and said goodbye to some wonderful friends. This was such a beautiful and bittersweet time.
Then I hopped on a plane for two hours and landed in Georgia where I meant up with some people from my squad. We chilled at the Atlanta airport for a few hours then headed to our hotel where we would stay for the next four nights.
Man Saturday January 13, 2018 was a full day of diving into more training! I am gonna be real right now, it was a lot. It was hard to sit still and be an active listener for 2 plus hours straight. Even though this was difficult for me I had some wonderful people beside me going through the same thing. This was my first full day with my team! They are something else let me tell you! I love them each dearly and looking forward to getting to know them more over the next 11 months!
Sunday January 14, 2018. I had to ask at least 3 different people at least 3 different times what day it was. It didn’t feel like a typical Sunday for me. But then again the past couple days have been anything but typical. Sunday was another day full of training, team bonding, sitting for hours, worship, and feedback. One of our trainings yesterday was focused of what the World Race calls feedback. This is where our team gets together to call each other Higher. It is a beautiful time of looking at each other pointing out how we see Christ in each other and how we can challenge each other to go deeper with Christ. I am so excited for this open communication between my teammates and although I know sometimes it will be difficult I am excited for the growth that will come from it!
Monday January 15, 2018 I sit here looking back at the days I just had. I know all the training and time of preparation was much needed, but honestly I just want to GO! I am so excited for what God is doing and going to do. I am ready to experience what God has. Ready to dive deep with God, to have my heart broken for what breaks His, to have my eyes open to His word, and to experience more of HIM! I use the word ready loosely because I don’t know what to expect. I am so thankful for the past few days and am currently realizing I could have complained less about all the trainings during these past days and just soaked up what God had for me, which I hope to do from here on out!

Tuesday January 16, 2018 TODAY IS THE DAY THAT THE LORD HAS MADE, I WILL REJOICE AND BE GLAD IN IT! Today is the day that my squad gets on a plane to start our journey to Haiti! We are all currently sitting in the Atlanta airport waiting for our 5pm flight to Florida. Where we will sit at another airport for our 11 hour layoveR. I believe this will be a good time of bonding and relaxation that I know I need! I am so excited to be stepping into what God has for me! This will be my last post in the states and the beginning of something new and wonderful. (Fun Fact: I have NEVER left the country so you know that saying “go BIG or go home”? Yeah well I am going BIG! EEKK)
Reminders: I will not be on social media for the first 6 weeks of my race. I would love to stay in contact with you! Of course I will be blogging and I have Marco Polo, google voice, hangouts, and GroupMe.
Disclamer: I am so bad at grammar and spelling. (Manny of my friends can attest to that) So I apologize for all that! Please extend some grace in that! 🙂
