So as many of you may know I was in Georgia for WR training camp for 10 days. While there, I learned so much about what we’ll be doing next year, my squad, Adventures In Missions, myself, and of course about God! It was a beautifully busy 10 days of growth and I am so thankful I was able to go. This being said, there was so much information given and so much I believe God taught and is teaching me through my ten days in Georgia. I am going to need a bit to be able to process it all. So, for now I thought I would give you some fun facts about training camp!

13 FUN FACTS ABOUT TRAINING CAMP!

1)You will see such a passion for Christ. There is no way you leave training camp and are not be encouraged by the passionate believers surrounding you.

2)You more than likely will cry at some point. That could be during worship when you see the goodness of God, or during breakouts when God takes your deepest pains and begins the healing process. Or it could be from laughing so hard at the weirdos you call your squad.

3) Pooping will be talked about at least 2 times a day. It’s totally normal… we all do it (hopefully). That’s what you get for eating foods your body isn’t use to and using ONLY Porta potties for 10 days. It’s heart warming to know your squad mates care about your health and whether or not you’ve pooped yet.

4) God WILL show up. Maybe not how you expected or wanted Him to, but He will show up when He needs to and how He needs to.

5) HUGS! lots and lots of hugs. “Oh we just met, let’s squeeze each other really tight until one of us lets go” But seriously I LOVE hugs and it was amazing how many hugs happened.

6) You will go in knowing no one and come out with a family. The people you called strangers just 10 days earlier will become a part of your family.

7) You will be overwhelmed at some point. Weather that be due to the amount of people you will meet in a short time, or the constant go of the schedule there will be a time when you just want to stop for a few seconds to catch your breathe.

8) You will be challenged. Mentally, Physically, Emotionally, and Spiritually. No matter how good of shape you are in doing 116 squats will burn. After sitting through hours of sessions, your brain will feel like mush. Even though your brain feels like mush, your soul longs for more of God.

9) You will squeal while taking a shower. I was kind of excited for my first bucket shower, until Georgia weather decided to be in the 40s/50s whenever I was able to shower.

10) You will be shown Christ’s unending love. It is beautiful thing to see Christ’s love through people on fire for Him! These people will accept you and challenge you to be more like Christ!

11) Worship will be a time of surrender, JOY, hope and love. It is a beautiful thing when you enter in God’s presence with like-minded believers giving praise to our King!

12)You will say ‘See you later’ and it will be hard. Yes, you just spent 10 days and are about to spend a whole year with these people, but the two months between leaving them and seeing them again is kinda sad.

13) You will leave training camp with a lot to do, yet no worries about whether or not it’s what God wants you to do! During my time at training camp God continued to confirm the World Race is what He has for me. He has continued to give me a peace and excitement about moving forward and sharing His love with His people no matter where I am!
