This month for our There Here Path (a path for us to follow to get closer to our end goal of living what we believe) we are writing appreciation blogs for our teammates. This is last month Team Torch will be a team and since there are 5 of them and not 5 weeks I will be posting theses blogs kind of back to back. I hope you all take the time to read about each one of these amazing people I have doing living life with!
In each blog I will share 11 things about my teammates:
- Fun fact about us
- The ministry she thrives in
- The hairstyle she rocks the most
- The spiritual gift I see her walking in the most
- Her Disney Princess
- A ministry memory
- The personality “quirk” that I love the most
- Where I have seen her grow the most
- How she has helped me grow
- Her signature dance move
- The word God gave me when I asked Him who she is
To start I will begin with my Team Leader, Sarah Zlibut!
- Fun fact about us
This is our tenth month of the race together and it was spoken over us in Ecuador that we work well together.
- The ministry she thrives in
Sarah thrives everywhere but especially with youth and young adults!
- The hairstyle she rocks the most
Sarah has grown to love rocking cornrows!
- The spiritual gift I see her walking in the most
Sarah walks in so much Faith! She NEVER allows fear or doubt to get in her way when she is praying for someone.
- Her Disney Princess
Merida! She is fierce but has a heart for the broken.
- A ministry memory
In Uganda our team was split up most of the month but somehow Sarah and I stayed together the whole time. One of my favorite memories from Uganda was our first slashing experience watching Sarah attack the grass with a slasher that pretty much looked like a bent sword. By the end of the month we were slashing pros but that first day we both struggled and it was quite the thing to see!
- The personality “quirk” that I love the most
When Sarah thinks something is funny she laughs with a burst of enthusiasm, but once she has let her laugh out she either “breaks” (can’t stop laughing) or she says “okay” and goes right back to a composed state.
- Where I have seen her grow the most
In her vulnerability with our team. I have known Sarah this entire race and felt like I knew her pretty well in the beginning but I have learned how deep of a person she is through being together this long.
- How she has helped me grow
Sarah has encouraged me in never allowing my lack of faith or my lack of drive to keep me from praying BIG prayers!
- Her signature dance move
The floss (the only one she knows how to do)
- The word God gave me when I asked Him who she is
Devoted.
And that my friends is Sarah. I am so happy and privileged to have gotten to be with her for this entire race l and I know God has placed her into my life as a life long friend!
Love you Rah Rah!!
