This month for our There Here Path (a path for us to follow to get closer to our end goal of living what we believe) we are writing appreciation blogs for our teammates. This is last month Team Torch will be a team and actually I have already left and I am on my way to Training Camp for next year! But I still have a few more of these blogs to post! I hope you all take the time to read about each one of these amazing people I have doing living life with!

For this blog I will share with you about my Teammate Nikki Marietta!
- Fun fact about us
Nikki and I slept next to each other right when we became teammates in Nepal and I spent many evenings listening to Nikki watch scary movies and even took notes one night on the funny things she yelled out. Example: “Who keeps mannequins in their basement?”
- The ministry she thrives in
Honestly Nikki thrives in any relational ministry, kids, adults, you name it, if its relational she is thriving and connecting on a deep level!
- The hairstyle she rocks the most
FUN BUNS! Be warned though, when Nikki rocks the fun buns she is usually in an extra goofy mood that will result in more twelve year old boy jokes than you will know what to do with!
- The spiritual gift I see her walking in the most
Nikki walks in so much wisdom. Wisdom straight from above, especially when she is leading worship. She knows exactly when we need to linger in a space and she frequently speaks out some amazing truths!
- Her Disney Princess
Elsa! She is bold, fierce and don’t need no man to accomplish her dreams! She is also a big sister to all of us even though she is one of the youngest on our team 🙂
- A ministry memory
This isn’t from our time on a team together but it’s too good not to share, and we have been talking about it a lot lately. So, in Colombia we went to a local high school to teach and speak life into the kids and in the beginning we had an ice breaker. It was a simple rock, paper, scissors tournament. Well it got down to the final two and one kid hunkered down and his friend put a hoodie onto him and then they bounced crouched down for a second then jumped up saying “John Cena!!!” (but with an accent so it was Whan Cena) Still to this day it gets us giggling because of how serious those kids took the tournament.
- The personality “quirk” that I love the most
Two words: fart noises. Nikki is pro at making them, and pro at finding the best times to do them!

- Where I have seen her grow the most
I have seen Nikki grow the most in her maturity in her identity as a daughter of the one true King! She knew this identity before but I have seen her step into becoming this identity in her thoughts and overflow into her actions. She may not know but even though this growth is on the inside we can all see it on the outside as well!
- How she has helped me grow
Day one in Nepal we went out evangelizing together and Nikki found an insecurity in me that she then began to cultivate growth in continually and she is still helping me in this. She has helped me to see that what I say does matter. That my yes can mean yes and my no can be no, I don’t have to give a reason I can simply say it.
- Her signature dance move
I don’t know what it is called but I tell her she looks like she is building a snow man when she does it!
- The word God gave me when I asked Him who she is
