I was writing in my journal just a minute ago and wrote how crazy it was that this day was finally here! That it had only been since April when this journey began, well actually March. Then I really thought about it and it wasn’t either of those times that this journey began. God had this planned since the beginning of time! God knows every little detail of what is to come this year as I embark on the World Race. He knows what sicknesses I will encounter. What weird foods I might eat. And the names of each person I will meet along the way!
How can I worry when I know God has a plan?
Yes it will not be the plan I have in my head.
Yes it will contain hardships.
But, His plan is so perfect and He has a reason for every little thing that is planned.
I might never know why I had to be bit by so many mosquitoes, but it could be so I can empathize with the people of that area.
Any sickness that I encounter will open new doors for evangelism, whether that is through being at a hospital, clinic, or spending extra time with our ministry host to rest.
I know people don’t like hearing the negatives that could happen, but God has this figured out. All I can do now is trust Him and of course use the knowledge He has given me to keep me safe.
For those of you who are still worried, I promise I have brought with me 10 to 11 months worth of fruit and veggie capsules to help me stay healthy, as well as a lot of precautionary medications just in case, and I will learn about each area before I arrive in order to know how to be the safest in that area!!
Anyway it’s time to continue beginning this crazy adventure!
