Change.

It’s a word that has been constant in my life this year. I’ve changed classrooms each semester. I’ve changed where I live. Since May I have lived in four different places! Constant change has always been around, there are a few changes happening in my life that I wanted to share with you!

First, my route. It has actually changed twice since I announced it to you all!

The first change was just a rearrangement of the African countries, but this last change was the change of our last country! We will no longer be going to the Ukraine, but now will be going to…

PORTUGAL!!

I am constantly kept on my toes with this World Race journey, but honestly I love it!

I never know what could happen next or where God is about to show up in crazy ways!

Now for the second change. I mentioned it in a previous blog but now I will go more into detail about the change and elaborate on my experiences at Ferris State University’s Early Learning Center.

Today was my second to last day at Ferris State University’s Early Learning Center. As I sit at the park thinking about all that I’ve learned and how much I have grown I am truly grateful to have been given the opportunity to work with every family that I have encountered at the center. When it was Tot’s Place and I was a student employee I am thankful for the lead teachers for fostering my skills in allowing me to become the teacher I am today. Even still to this day I have my co-workers who are there to answer my questions, or take the time to look up the answers with me, or just even brain storm our best possible solution.

I’ve watched children grow from infants to kindergarteners. They were unable to speak to now telling elaborate stories. The techniques we use to solve conflicts they use on their own now. They can walk, jump, dance, climb and do so much more. I have loved being a part of all of their lives even if it was just for a short while. They may never remember me but I will remember them and each one of them will always hold a space in my heart.

Going forward I will now be continuing to work at Two Hats Ranch, at Trinity Fellowship Church as a custodian and I am substituting at an in home child care for a few weeks. I will use the flexibility in my schedule to be able to spend more time preparing for the World Race. I will have more time dedicated to support raising and preparing physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

Change is good.

Change means things are happening.

Change means God is moving!
