A Thank You To All My Supporters.
Once upon a time a weird NE girl was sitting in her room and had a crazy idea… she wanted to skip college and travel the world for alittle under a year to spread Jesus and love to people. She wanted to go to tribes, mountains, cities, and villages to minister and pour out the love that Jesus had poured out to her. She had a bold heart and mindset that was set and wouldn’t change. Somehow… hundreds of people decided to support her. They prayed for her, gave her money, and lifted her up in her weak and broken moments, as well as her high and joyful moments when she was abroad. These people were her support system and the reason she was able to do what she was able to do.
These people are you. Parents. Friends. Teachers. Family friends. Grandparents. Cousins. Aunts and Uncles. Church friends. Other Racers. Racer Parents.
This girl is me and from the bottom of my heart I want to say thank you.
I dont really know how to properly and completely say thank you without sitting infront of you and looking you in the eye… but hopefully we can do that soon.
Some of you gave 5$, some of you gave thousands, many of you prayed big bold prayers, all of you have brought me to where I am today. I couldn’t have done any of this without your support and help. Thank you.
Its not easy to see how your money and prayers actually helped unless you can see it with your own eyes… and because of that I also want to say thank you. Your faith in helping me go on this missions journey even when you probably couldn’t see the big picture upfront is a huge huge thing. God has used your faith to walk in this journey with me even if I was halfway around the world. This was OUR journey.
I was able to use your support to sit with Indian children and speak life and joy over them in the midst of their dark atmosphere, preach in mountain villages of Nepal when evangelism is illegal and highly punished for, speak liberation and hope over women who have been beaten down or neglected in Zimbabwe, work at an elderly home and read the Bible to men and women who haven’t been loved in a long long time in Zambia, teach English and feed children their one meal a day in Malawi, and minister to and feed the least of thee street kids in Ecuador.
Because of you I was able to live with and create a community of people that ministered to me and I was also able to minister to.
Because of you I was able to follow the Lord and pour out my heart into the one thing he has made extremely clear in my life… missions and loving all different kinds of people.
Because of you I was able to travel all over the world and share the mighty mighty name of JESUS to people who have heard, who have fallen astray, to people who have never heard, to people that didn’t care, to people that needed it…. To all the world.
Because of you I was able to live out my wildest and boldest dream ever… missions.
Because of you I am able to sit here and write this blog and tell you that I am thankful… and that my journey is almost over. 9 months is almost over. In less than a week I will be in the USA. I will be seeking out a new path and I will be heavily praying through where the Lord wants me next.
If I have learned anything on this journey it would be that God is bigger. Point and simple… God is bigger. I have been all over the world at this point and one thing has stayed steady through all the changes, God is bigger. Bigger than my anxiety, my worries, my dreams, my hopes, my plans, my anything.
OUR GOD is bigger.
There have been moments preparing for this journey where I wanted to go home, where i wanted to quit, where I didn’t want to preach for the 100th time in a row, where I didn’t want to hold another dirty child, where the last thing I wanted to do was wake up and do it all again for the 200th time in a row… then I would receive a message from one of you full of life and love… then I would read a letter one of my friends wrote me… then I would remember the sacrifice a lot of you made for me to be where I am… then I would feel my spirits rise and my drive come back to life.
You all kept me going. You all are the reason I am still here. You all are living proof that Jesus can provide. You all are testaments to how God can use you even if you are thousands and thousands of miles away from the action. You all are the hands and feet of christ and I am forever thankful for you all.
OUR journey isn’t over. OUR race is coming to an end but OUR journey is still remaining. God has used us in mighty ways over the past 9 months, but he isn’t finished. The work I was able to do through your help and love isn’t ever going away and I would love for you guys to join me in praying over the work that was done. For the hearts that were changed, the walls that were built, the bellies that were fed, and the lives that are not the same. Pray for continual growth and love. Pray for the foundation to not be left sitting, but that someone will pick up where we left off.
Its really hard for me to express how truly grateful I am to you all… I can’t even find the words. From the depths of my heart this was the best decision I have ever made and knowing hundreds of people were willing to jump aboard and help me float from September 2016 to now is absolutely insane to me. Thank you.
I will be writing a few more blogs before I land in America on June 4th in less than a week. Be praying for that transition and that God will lay a peace and a clarity in all of our thoughts and hearts about going home, decisions regarding when we get home, and re-entry in general.
I love you all… and as always… thank you for supporting the crazy NE girl who had a bold idea to skip college and travel the world for alittle under a year to spread Jesus and love to people.
You guys mean the world to me.
