As I write this I’m on the plane to Haiti. The Lord is here, in each and every one of us, and today we get to embark on being His hands and feet on foreign soil. This is an absolute blessing. Although a lot is unknown and uncertain this is the beginning of catapulting into a new season with The Lord. The last few days I believe He has walked me through fears, uncertainty, acceptance of the unknown, erasing expectations, and as I sit here I feel at peace and humbled. He has given me open hands in this moment and I pray that He continues to strip me of my defects to interrupt my natural inclination to recoil, build walls and hide behind them. (The one I feel He highlighted to me today is my pride and that the remedy, or goal rather, is through humility-1 Peter 3:8)
It brings me peace to feel and know that He has brought me to a place where I finally feel ready for this journey and this day.
Through scripture today what I feel He was showing me was that today’s lesson/challenge is Love.
(2 Corinthians 13:11-14, 1 Corinthians 13:1-13, Ephesians 4:16, Romans 8:37-39, 1:Peter 2:17)
Love is the result of God in us. We can rest in His love and through Him we can see each other as He sees us all. His Love is overwhelming. His Love is Never ending. His Love is Wreck-less. We are called to love each other as He has and always will Love us. How beautiful and unfathomable is that!?
As our squad embarks this new season with The Lord please pray for protection over us all. Please pray that The Lord can work through us to give clarity to find and seek those He’s written on our hearts to share His love through Jesus Christ with. Please pray for those hearts to be open to receive the gospel and those hearts to be searching and thirsty for Him. Please pray for our cups to be continuously filled and overflowing with The Spirit.
May we freely and unapologetically learn to love one another as He is loving us.
