There are only 14 days left until the World Race (11 month journey) chapter of my life will officially have come to a close. WOW, can you believe it? I can’t! I just want to thank you all for following the journey, for all of your love and your support. I’m so blessed to have such a strong, dependable, and loving community to come home to. I love Winnemucca so much.
SO…. without further ado…. the big news is…THERE WILL BE A SANTA CHASE 5K THIS YEAR!!! It is going to be on Saturday December 15th at the Boys and Girls Club from 8:30am to 11:00am! Last year the proceeds of the Santa Chase 5k went towards sending me on The World Race (thank you so much for sending me!!)… but THIS YEAR ALL THE PROCEEDS WILL BE GOING TO A MINISTRY IN AFRICA!!!
God completely wrecked my heart for a ministry and church in Rwanda East Africa. I got to spend the 10th month of the race in a small village east of Kigali near Nyagatare and I fell head over heels for all of it! I love the children, the staff, the pastor, the teachers, ALL OF IT! You would to, they are incredible!
It has been on my heart that the Santa Chase is something that was positive for our community last year and should happen again.. I just wasn’t really sure how or what for… last month it was revealed to me that all of the proceeds should go to International Healing Center Ministries and Samaritan International School. God is doing big things there… but they need a lot of support and the needs are great. The proceeds of this race will help them continue the work God has begun there! (More videos to come about the ministry..)
BUT NONE OF THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE WITHOUT THE HARD WORK AND PERSEVERANCE OF Jan Harrington and Brad Borowski! If you see them, please hug them or high five them or something!! They are incredible and if it weren’t for them this wouldn’t be happening again! They have been working very hard and still are to get this thing going!
