Hi friends and fam! I’ve got some exciting news! This summer I have the privilege of leading a trip to one of my favorite parts of the world. I’ll be spending the month of June in Cambodia and the month of July in Thailand! Why? Because the Lord is sooo good!

Since returning from the Race this past August, I knew that I wanted to be back on the field, but with graduate school approaching in January, I did not see how or when that would be a possibility. So I began praying about going and about leading.

On my Race, our leaders gave up 5 months of their lives to serve us and teach us, and honestly, much of what they imparted changed my life. It was so beautiful in the way they humbly came alongside us for the first few months of our Race to impart their wisdom to us and demonstrate loving well and serving well (shoutout to Paul, Christian, Ravi, and Hallie; y’all are the real MVPs). What they received from people that had gone before them, they freely gave to us. In Matthew 10, Jesus is instructing His disciples, giving them authority, and sending them out; all the while telling them not to fear. In verse 8, He says: “Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.” So. Good.

Reflecting on the Race, and what was imparted to me, I too want to be a person who takes what I have received and freely give; just like my leaders did. So, a couple of months ago I applied to lead a summer trip for young adults with Adventures in Missions. (Thanks grad school for summer breaks!)

A week ago when I got the news that I will be leading the Thailand/Cambodia trip, I was overwhelmed with thankfulness. For about a month, I have known that I would be leading, but did not know where. I was praying for Asia; (y’all know how much I love Asia!) but also acknowledging that where God sends me is where I need to be. When I got the news that I would indeed be back in Asia, I was overwhelmed with the Father’s love and His grace. He truly gives the best gifts.

I feel confident that God has called me to this trip, and I am PUMPED for this opportunity. I cannot wait to see how He will use these two months to teach me more about servant-leadership and mold me through the six girls I will be leading and the people/organizations we will be serving alongside in those countries! My heart and desire for this time is that I would be a part of the process of aiding these sweet gals in what it looks like to hear God’s voice, live in and love each other in community, boldly love and evangelize through the Spirit, and serve through the confidence in their Christly identity.

In Cambodia, our team will be serving at an orphanage; teaching the children English, spending sweet time with those kiddos, and doing some outreach in the community! In Thailand we will be serving with YWAM at their base outside of Bangkok doing prison ministry, children’s ministry, teaching, and outreach.

All that being said, I can’t do this without y’all! In order to fund my two months serving overseas, I need to raise $2000. I would be honored if you would consider being a part of my support team, once again! Your prayers and financial support are what makes this possible and I could not do it without y’all! Whether you can give financially or not, I would love if you would partner with me in prayer for my team, the Thai and Cambodian people, and for the ministries we will be serving with.

Thanks friends! Much love to y’all!
