Today was a travel day, we are headed to Africa. Travel days are usually two or three days with a few layovers and tons of junk food. This travel day wasn’t nearly as long as the first flight to Mongolia. Thank God lol. During the layover I couldn’t help but notice how constantly busy people are and nobody has time, even to eat. People are walking to the gate on their phones and eating. I wonder if people had a bubble or sign above their head with their struggles listed, would people even stop. There’s a lack by the power of prayer not being used and the fact we have forgotten where we placed our identity.

In today’s society, people are suffering all around the world, but don’t know how fix their brokeness. Throughout my journey so far I have encountered so many people who are constantly suffering and just continue on in normal life wanting something more. I have met so many people that have the desire to be loved and wanted. Due to the fall, many people worldwide are constanly effected, and its being shown to me so clearly.

I have noticed that people arent idenifying themselves as a child of God, they are putting their identity in things that were told to them or they start to believe their own lies. You don’t introduce yourself as a shy child of God, you say loudly and proudly I’m a child of God. In an amazing podcast from pastor Micheal Todd, he was talking about this subject saying people just don’t wake up at age 25 with anger problems or social anxiety. It stems from a deeper issue. Instead of figuring out what the cause of the issue is, they start identifying themselves from these issues. We don’t have to settle with labels that are given to us. We can step out of comfort and claim what is ours. One blessing out of many that God has given to us, is his identity in yourself. God gives us everything that we need, but its our responsibity to ask for it. He wants us to have it all. One thing I love about God is his generosity for his people, he gives everything you need. In moments I catch myself being ungrateful for the little things but being over seas, those little things don’t even compare to the needs of these people. Some families only get water once a week so when its gone, they have to wait.

Another gift God gives to us is the power of prayer. He gives each and every one of us the same authority. Nobody earns it faster than the rest. I have learned how powerful your words can be, and how powerful your prayers can be. In the beginning praying out loud was an insecurity of mine. That was just a lie that I was believing, when in fact my words are from God and the devil doesn’t want me sharing. Like I have told some of my squad mates everyone is going to reach different people. The people that are going to connect to you need to hear what you have to say. Now, I find myself talking/praying throughout my day. Praying at night before bed isn’t enough for me. I like to include God in all of my thoughs, just like if he were a friend walking beside me.

I want to close with a prayer. Lord, I pray people all over the world will start hearing what you think of them instead of what the world says. I pray people will be able to heal their pain and will be able to spread freedom worldwide. People will start getting uncomfortable and turn to you. Chains will start to fall off as we speak and this generation’s identity will be only found in you. Amen.
